JAZZ & CLASSICAL MUSICIAN FOR HIRE
Whether you are searching to find a jazz musician for hire, or
if a classical musician is wanted, I accept bookings in both
genres. A professional musician for hire often ‘crosses over’
between different musical styles. Most of my formal training
is in the classical field (New England Conservatory
graduate). However, I have always enjoyed jazz (especially
traditional jazz ) and have performed as a jazz guitar player

Performances can be arranged to be all jazz, all classical or
an eclectic mix.
LIVE MUSIC - ENTERTAINMENT
Over the past thirty years I have provided live music as a
solo, acoustic guitarist for countless weddings, receptions,
corporate functions, parties and special events around
greater Boston and throughout all six New England states.
Live music as entertainment helps to create an upbeat and
elegant ambiance for a party or special occasion that cannot
be achieved with prerecorded music. Acoustic instrumental
music can achieve this ambiance without being obtrusive.
INSTRUMENTAL BACKGROUND MUSIC
Instrumental background music is the perfect solution for any
occasion, party or gathering where guests will want to carry
on conversation without raising their voices to be heard. The
music at a concert is, of course, the center of attention. At
most functions, both corporate and private, the music is part
of the backdrop. It is there, so to speak, as 'icing on the
cake'. I perform at a lot of house concerts and public recitals
and am perfectly comfortable being at the center of an
audience's attention. Nonetheless, it is important for me to
provide a level of 'presence' appropriate to the venue for
which I have been hired. My guitar is acoustic with a built in
microphone and I use just enough amplification to be heard
in a crowded room - audible, but never overpowering.
